Oral Cancer Screenings

Early detection of oral cancer is crucial to receiving an effective treatment. We use visual and manual screening methods along with Vizilite technology to detect any areas of abnormal tissue. The Vizilite system uses a special light which shows problem areas on your gums, cheeks, and other areas of your mouth, that are not visible to the naked eye. Tobacco and alcohol use increase your risk factor for oral cancer, although anyone can develop the disease.
